Laredo High School Senior Named Border Patrol Youth of the Year
LAREDO, Texas — Selina Blanca Alicia Liendo, a senior at United South High School, has been selected as the Laredo Sector Border Patrol Youth of the Year for 2024-2025. The announcement was made by Laredo Sector Deputy Chief Patrol Agent, Enrique Martinez, during a ceremony held at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU).
Exceptional Student Achiever
Ms. Liendo's impressive high school career includes participation in the EMT program, community service, and the Varsity Tennis team. A member of the Kazen Fellowship Program, she actively engaged in civic activities aimed at developing future community leaders. She plans to pursue a nursing degree in college.
Celebrating 38 Years of Recognizing Student Excellence
The Youth of the Year ceremony concludes the Laredo Sector Youth of the Month program, a 38-year tradition recognizing outstanding students from all 11 Laredo high schools. Selection is based on academic achievement, community involvement, and dedication to success.
