Huge Pork Seizure at Laredo Border Crossing

Significant Contraband
Port Director Albert Flores highlighted the officers' vigilance in detecting the substantial amount of pork, hidden in multiple bags under the passenger seat and in the vehicle's rear hatch. The seizure included 112.86 kgs of chorizo, 3.81 kgs of pork sausage, and 1.40 kgs of blood sausage.
Protecting American Agriculture
This substantial seizure underscores CBP's commitment to safeguarding U.S. agriculture from the potential introduction of harmful pests and diseases. The driver faced a $1,000 civil penalty, and the vehicle was seized.
