France is the largest country in Europe. It has different landscape formations. In the south the country is mountainous and dominated by the Pyrenees. Further mountains are the Vosges, the Jura and the Alps. The highest mountain is Mont Blanc. Politically, France is currently ruled by the fifth republic. The president of each country plays a central role.
