Effective December 6, 2021, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status or citizenship, must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within one calendar day of travel. Alternatively, travelers to the United States, if recently recovered from COVID-19, may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., their positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a local licensed healthcare provider or a local public health official stating that they are cleared to travel.
March 22 - New Online Fee Payment Option for Adult Passport Renewal By Mail
U.S. Embassy Athens is pleased to announce that there is a new online fee payment option for adults who are eligible to apply for a passport by mail. Effective immediately, adults renewing their U.S. passports by mail in Greece may now pay online when applying with a DS-82 application form. By using the online fee payment option, eligible applicants will avoid making a trip to the bank and paying a bank commission to obtain a bank check.
